BRAaD: Achievements in Building, Remodeling, Architecture and Design

 

WHY SHOULD YOU ENTER?

The BRAaD Awards is a competition for the best projects of the year between the top builders and remodelers in Northeast Ohio. At the event we also recognize and celebrate the major accomplishments of our associate members. Winning a BRAaD Award allows you to advertise your company as an “award winning” builder or associate member.

 

ALL ENTRIES will receive:

  • Rights to advertise as an entrant in the competition

  • Electronic competition logo to use on websites and marketing literature

WINNERS will receive additional benefits:

  • Plaque featuring your project and company

  • Inclusion in HBA marketing campaign to include press releases, digital campaign and social media

  • Recognition at the HBA BRAaD Awards Celebration on Thursday, March 6, 2025

 

COST: $225 non-refundable fee per entry; $95 non-refundable fee per individual entry.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

All projects must have been completed between Jan 1, 2024- Dec 31, 2024. You must be an HBA Member. Entry fees are non-refundable.

Entries MUST BE PROVIDED DIGITALLY, including all required information and photos for each respective category. Especially important is identifying a single contact who can speak to the project should the judges or office have any questions.

If applicable, co-entrants are $80/entrant. Co-entrant's name will appear on the award and be announced at the Awards Celebration.

 

TIMELINE:

  • January 31, 2025 - All entries are due.
  • February 5, 2025 - Deadline to submit supporting information and photos.
  • February 6 - February 17, 2025 - Judging of entries
  • March 6, 2025 - BRAaD Awards Celebration

 

JUDGING:

Judging Scoring - Judges are industry experts not otherwise associated with this competition. The judging panel will account for 100% of the scoring for entries. Judges will not be required to meet in order to judge entries. Judging will take place between Feb. 6, 2025 - Feb. 17, 2025.

Judging Panel -The judges are selected by the HBA BRAaD Awards Team and will consist of a minimum of 3 judges per entry. All judges will be industry experts otherwise not associated with the competition. In the event of a tie among entries, the judges will discuss the entries to determine the winner. The judges' decision will be final and no appeal will be allowed. Judging will be completed on or before February 17, 2025. Results will be given to the BRAaD Team Chair, Jen Gonzalez.

 

AWARDS: Awards will be presented at the BRAaD Awards Celebration on Thursday, March 6, 2025. If homeowners, other companies and/or designers contributed to the project and would like to receive an award, duplicate plaques may be purchased at an additional cost of $80/plaque. Additional contributors will be mentioned at the awards ceremony, on the award plaque, and in advertisements.
